Community Organizations -
Distribution Program Qualification
Charitable organizations and governmental or social service agencies that provide
specific, unique, or vitally-needed community service are included in our resource
listings at no charge. Due to space restrictions and cost considerations, the editors
reserve the right to limit such listings. At any time you may call our office to
discuss the applicability of your particular service to the older-adult community
and whether or not it can be included in an upcoming edition or on the Web site.
§501(c)(3) nonprofit, community service organizations may receive bulk copies
of the Directory based on need, resources, and the level of elder-specific services
they provide to the senior adult community. A Qualifying Survey is required. Please call our Outreach & Marketing Program Coordinator at 713-529-9991 ext 1, for more information. Each May, notices
to qualified organizations are sent out announcing the time and place to pick up
the new edition. Additional bulk copies may be requested and picked up by appointment,
only on Wednesdays, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. All distribution takes place
at our offices located at 2700 Southwest Freeway, Suite 277, Houston, Texas 77098.
The Senior Guidance Directory & Caregiving Handbook is published each June by Senior Guidance Directory
(SGD), Inc., a Texas chartered §501(c) (3) charitable organization that does
not receive any United Way funding or government support. We actively seek financial
support from private foundations, corporations and other reliable sources dedicated
to assisting the senior community.
